Rob Lane’s original score for Babs, BBC’s drama about actress Barbara Windsor (portrayed by Samantha Spiro), has been nominated for the Ivor Novello Award for ‘Best Television Soundtrack’, to be handed out at the 63rd Ivors on 31st May, 2018. The other nominees in the category are SS-GB and The Miniaturist, both composed by Dan Jones. Rob Lane has won the Ivor Novello Award three times before, for Blackpool, Elizabeth I and Close Relations.
